Cast Me Away

Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.“
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭11‬ ‭‬‬

David was one of the few people in the Old Testament that knew what it was like to have Holy Spirit with him consistently during his life. In David’s sin of killing Uriah to hide the adultery he committed with Bathsheba he was concerned about God casting him away from Holy Spirit.

On the day of Pentecost, Holy Spirit was poured out and now abides within every believer. We are the temple of Holy Spirit on this earth. We have God’s presence with us and within us. We have the promise He will never leave us or forsake us. No matter what we walk through, Holy Spirit is there with us. God is as near to us as we chose to be to Him. If we draw near, He draws near.

Holy Spirit, I thank You for abiding within me. Thank You for Your presence in my life. Thank You that as a child of God I don’t have to question if You are going to leave me when I fail, You won’t cast me away because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Thank You that You empower me to live for God and bring conviction when I am going astray. I love You!
