The Spirt

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him,
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Isaiah 11:2

The fullness of the Lord’s Spirit rested on Jesus, the Son of God. Holy Spirit was within Jesus for the Spirit is His, but also rested upon Him. In the Old Testament, Holy Spirit rested on people. In the New Testament, Holy Spirit indwelled within His people. Jesus was is embodiment of Holy Spirit in Old and New Testament.

Jesus had all wisdom and understanding. He has the Spirit of Counsel and Strength. He has the Spirit of Knowledge and fear of the Lord.

Many people have wisdom but no understanding of the real world. Jesus had both. Some people have the ability to counsel and others have physical strength. Jesus had both. Some people have knowledge but no fear and others have fear but no knowledge. Jesus holds both because Holy Spirit offers both.

We would be wise to allow Holy Spirit and the seven facets of the Lord to indwell and operate in us. Holy Spirit was poured out making all of Him available to all of us.

Lord, allow me to learn to let Holy Spirit operate in me freely. I want the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel and Strength, and the Spirit of Knowledge and fear of the Lord. In Jesus name Amen
