”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.“. Romans 15:13
Joy, peace and hope are by products of living a life full of Holy Spirit. As I think about these three states of being, I recognize God wants these to be big in our life. This verse says “that hope may abound”. Abound means to exist in large number or amounts. People without Holy Spirit may have hope, joy and peace, but not in large quantities. God wants His children to live an abundant life Christ came to give us.
”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.“. John 10:10
I Peter describes joy unspeakable.
”whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:“ 1 Peter 1:8
Philippians describes peace that surpasses
all understanding.
”And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“ Philippians 4:7
Our belief in God, our living with Holy Spirit is not meant to just help us survive but to abound, to live abundantly, unspeakable, and a life that surpasses all understanding! That is a Hod worth knowing!!!
