From the Beginning

”The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.“. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬ ‭‬‬

We often think of Holy Spirit coming on the day of Pentecost, but He was there from the beginning of creation. Before the earth was formed, before light entered the world, Holy Spirit was there moving above the waters.

Holy Spirit is also with every believer from the moment of salvation. He is there and available, but we can also experience more of Him through baptism of Holy Spirit. We can allow Him to intentionally rest on us. This is often evidence by speaking in tongues. He is the one that helps form our lives. He empowers us to follow the example of Jesus Christ. He allows Christ light to shine through us. He moves about in our life and as we submit to Him.

Lord, thank You for the presence of Holy Spirit. Thank You for always being there for me. Continue to work in my life.
