We are Healed

But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

This is one of my go to scriptures when praying for those in need of healing. I stand that because of His scourging, that is Jesus’ scourging, we are healed. What He did was finished at the cross and resurrection. Healing is available all because of what Jesus did.

This passage describes the events leading up to his crucifixion. He was pierced, crushed, chastise, and scourged all of this before being put on the cross. He covered our transgressions, our iniquities, the fullness of our well being and our healing.

Lord thank You for Your sacrifice on the cross and everything You suffered for us. Thank You that we are healed.
