Need

”But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.“. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭12‬ ‭‬

The Pharisees were complaining about who Jesus kept company with, but Jesus saw the need. Jesus saw the desire in the tax collectors and sinners and met them where they were. The Pharisees as well as the sinners and tax collectors were all in need of a Savior, but the latter were open to seeing their need.

Our culture tends to look for illness. We want to label and diagnose the misery and pathologize things. God is still the answer. Jesus came to save us regardless of how we talk about it.

Lord, I know I am in need of a Savior. I know that whoever is sick needs You and that includes the whole wide world.
