No Use At All

What gives life is God’s Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God’s life-giving Spirit. John 6:63

“Human power is of no use at all.” That is a powerful statement because it is a reminder that no matter how good I think I am doing, it is only through the power of God’s spirit that I have life. All of the striving that I have done in my life amounts to nothing. Does not help me gang God’s approval. Yes, he wants obedience; but even my obedience is only done through the power of Holy Spirit. Even the words Jesus spoke were from Holy Spirit. Life flows from Holy Spirit.

Prayer – Lord, let me live my live completely and intentionally dependant on You. Let me remember my works are really of no use at all.
