Everything We Need

”God has raised from death our Lord Jesus, who is the Great Shepherd of the sheep as the result of his blood, by which the eternal covenant is sealed. May the God of peace provide you with every good thing you need in order to do his will, and may he, through Jesus Christ, do in us what pleases him. And to Christ be the glory forever and ever! God provides everything we need to do as well. That is a powerful thought! I often try to get everything I need in the natural instead of trusting his provision and timing. Despite the fact that he is always come through, I still find myself trying to meet my own needs. It’s like I think he’s going to set his will up to fail. God knows everything that is needed, including when and where. he also knows what needs to be done in me, so that I am fully ready to handle his will flowing through me. He doesn’t set his children up to fail. He set us up to carry out his will and provide us with what is needed for us to be prepared to handle it. I believe it is a lifelong process as he takes us from one level to the next.

Lord, thank you for keeping me from stepping into your will before. I am really prepared to handle it. I know it is for your glory and my protection. Your timing is perfect. Thank you also that I can trust that you provide everything that is needed for what you have called me too. Help me to trust and wait on you.
