Remembered No More

And then he says, “I will not remember their sins and evil deeds any longer.” So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away sins is no longer needed. Hebrews 10:17-18

Because of the finished work of lacrosse, our sands and evil deeds are remembered no more. There is nothing we can do to take away our sins because Jesus already did it.

For many years of my Christian walk, I felt that I somehow needed to offer God something to atone for my sins. I would always fall short in my view. I cannot offer anything he would accept because Jesus gift was complete. I was trapped in my own cycle of defeat with God telling me, “Just step out.”

I feel like many people struggle with past mistakes. It sometimes keeps us trapped in a work’s based mentality because we don’t understand fully what Jesus did for us. We have a hard time conceptualizing the fullness of His grace. Our sins were forgiven completely at the cross. We received that complete forgiven when we accepted the gift of salvation at Holy Spirit’s prompting.

Lord, I thank You for your forgiveness of all my sins. Let me walk in the power of Your forgiveness and stop allowing my past to hold me back. Let me remember that there is nothing I can do to earn more of Your forgiveness. You already remember my sins no more. God let me extend that same forgiveness to others.
