Even your smallest and humblest family
Will become as great as a powerful nation.
When the right time comes,
I will make this happen quickly.
I am the Lord!” Isaiah 60:22
God blesses His people, but in His timing; not ours. This scripture reminds me of the first time I heard Christine Caine. She shared how she had done every small thing faithfully for years before God elevated her. People felt like she propelled to success overnight because it happened suddenly, but they didn’t see the years where she was just faithful to what God placed in front of her.
Our society wants everything instantly. We want big results without the work. There are so many get rich quick schemes that promise something they can’t deliver. But God’s timing and suddenly are usually preceded by diligent service.
I want God’s timing in all things. As much as I desire suddenly, I know my timing would be suddenly but I would miss the process of growth. Growth in God is what is important.
Lord I will wait on your timing. Make things happen in my life, in my career, in my marriage, and in every area in your timing. I want Your best for me. In Jesus name Amen
