Trust in the Lord, you people of Israel.
He helps you and protects you.
Trust in the Lord, you priests of God.
He helps you and protects you.
Trust in the Lord, all you that worship him.
He helps you and protects you. Psalm 115:9-11
God is the one who helps and protects us. Help is defined by Oxford Dictionary to make it easier for someone to do something by offering one services or resource. Protect means to keep safe from harm or injury.

I think I often get things wrong, I have in my mind that I am the one helping God. I have thought that I am offering him my services and resources. Yet it is he who helps me.
I was grafted into His chosen people. Some of the branches of the cultivated olive tree have been broken off, and a branch of a wild olive tree has been joined to it. You Gentiles are like that wild olive tree, and now you share the strong spiritual life of the Jews. Romans 11:17
I am His priest. But you are the chosen race, the King’s priests, the holy nation, God’s own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his own marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
I worship Him. So then, my friends, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Romans 12:1
The Bible says that he is my help. Him that makes it possible for me to do things. Gives me his service. Me his resources. Really changes my perspective because I recognize he has all the resources. The Bible says he owns everything.
The world and all that is in it belong to the Lord; the earth and all who live on it are his. Psalm 24:1
But now to continue—the son who will receive his father’s property is treated just like a slave while he is young, even though he really owns everything. Galatians 4:1
For, as the scripture says, “The earth and everything in it belong to the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 10:26
all the animals in the forest are mine and the cattle on thousands of hills. Psalm 50:10
All riches and wealth come from you; you rule everything by your strength and power; and you are able to make anyone great and strong. 2 Chronicles 29:12
His service is far more than I could ever do.
Every house, of course, is built by someone—and God is the one who has built all things. Hebrews 3:4
But God is my helper. The Lord is my defender. Psalm 54:4
God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1
We put our hope in the Lord; he is our protector and our help. Psalm 33:20
Let us have confidence, then, and approach God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it. Hebrew 4:16
I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let you fall; your protector is always awake. The protector of Israel never dozes or sleeps. The Lord will guard you; he is by your side to protect you. Psalm 121:1-5
Let us be bold, then, and say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?” Hebrews 13:6
I served Him, but it is only through His help. He calls me to do something, He provides the resources and the help to complete it. How freeing is that?
I can also know that He protects me. He keeps me safe from harm and injury. Maybe not in the physical because we are in a fallen world, but He protects my soul.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather be afraid of God, who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Matthew 10:28
I can trust His help and protection for what He has called me to do.
Prayer – Lord, thank You for Your help and protection. In service to You, You meet me with the necessary resources and service. You never leave me to do it on my own if I will just trust in You. Increase my dependency on You.
