Praise Acts 16:25 – About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
I love the picture of praising from the place I feel held captive. You are still Creator and Savior, regardless of where I am. Your mercy is available. Your forgiveness is complete. Your love is eternal and I praise You! You provide for me even when I do not realize I have need. You protect me from danger I don’t even know existed. You are magnificent. You are God Almighty and there is none like You. You are the Lord of Lords and King of Kings and there is none higher than You. I am amazed at Your goodness. You are my Father. You are my Friend. You are my Lord. You are my everything. You are my Beginning and my End, You are and always will be.
Wait Psalm 130:5-6 I wait eagerly for the Lord’s help, and in his word I trust. I wait for the Lord more eagerly than sentries wait for the dawn — than sentries wait for the dawn.
Waiting for the dawn, the end of a shift? The time where the enemy attack is greatest. Maybe it is really in the cover of night, so they can breathe a sigh of relief when the dawn comes. Waiting eagerly for your help, do I only do that when the need is the highest? Do I trust Your word enough for me to live it out regardless of what I see in the natural? Probably not because I feel the pressure of time and the deadlines, that piece of doubt arises. It is not if You can but will You do it for me? Am I worthy? No, but You are faithful because it is who You are. It is not something I have done. You are faithful even when I am not.
Confession 1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing.
God I’m sorry that after all this time, my knowledge and relationship with You, that I still doubt. I’m sorry I still question my identity even though You created me. Please show me the roots and where that began in my life because You don’t deserve to be questioned. You are faithful. I can look back at my life and see that there is no time that you weren’t there. You have always provided for me. Forgive me for making things all about me when they are not. Why do I make it about me? I say I want others to just see You. Am I lying to myself? Am I still trying to be seen? Forgive me because I know You see me. You love and accept me.
Read the Word – Ephesians 1 Let us give thanks!!
Petition Psalm 18:6 In my trouble I called to the Lord; I called to my God for help. In his temple he heard my voice; he listened to my cry for help.
Lord once again, I have over extended my finances and I believe I was following your voice, but maybe I missed Your timing. I don’t feel like I’m being a good steward. I didn’t pay tithes this week and I have not done that for a long time. I don’t like it. I need Your provision.
Lord I pray for FWC because they need provision to. We need more space for Your Kingdom purpose. Lord, show the leadership where that blessing is that You have already provided. They are my church, they are Your Church.
Lord touch my body with healing. These allergies and fatigue are going on for so long. Give me direction about the Covid shot and flu shot as to if I need to take them.
Intercession 1 Thessalonians 5:25 Pray for us also, friends.
I lift up my family and asked that You continue to draw them to You from the youngest to the oldest. Help them live out Your purpose for them. Bless the work of their hands.
I pray for my pastors and church family. Bless them with health, unity, dependence on You, and growth in their walk with You. Give them prosperity and success. Lord I pray for my coworkers, help them to be compassionate and see others as You do as we minister to them.
I pray for my friends that they would understand how precious they are to me. Meet their needs and give them the desires they have that align with Your heart. I pray for reconciliation with Sally and Katie and for a baby for Chesney. I pray for Cyndee’s hands and Janna’s peace. I pray for the lost. We need laborers for the harvest, please send them.
Pray the Word – Psalm 119:57-112
Thanksgiving – Psalm 107:1 “Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good; his love is eternal!”
Lord I thank You that You put this prayer time and Bible study in my life right now. Thank You that as I cry out to You, You’re answering in the next moment. I thank You for Your love and provision. Lord thank You for my friends and family. Thank You for the opportunities that You have given me to serve and be Your hands and feet in the lives of others. Thank You for that privilege. Thank You for Tim and how because of his presence in my life I have grown in You. Thank You for continued growth in You. Thank You for my church family both near and far and the amazing teachers I get to learn from. I’m so blessed by you Lord thank You for all that You have done in my life I just want to thank You.
Singing Psalm 107:22 They must thank him with sacrifices, and with songs of joy must tell all that he has done.
I will call upon the Lord (Can listen to a version here)
This is how I fight my battles (can listen to a version here)
The heart of worship (Can listen to a version here)
Meditate Joshua 1:8 Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Meditating on God’s love Psalm 48:9 Inside your Temple, O God, we think of your constant love.
Your life is not like the love I have received from my parents, my family, my children or grandchildren or even my husband. Your love is constant. I wait for You to fail because even as good as the love is I have received, it fells in so many ways. I have often felt unseen, unheard and unloved because people don’t always know how to love me, but You do. Your love is perfect because You created me and You are perfect. You are love. I’ve been focused on what I don’t get instead of what I do receive. Others love me the best that they know how. It doesn’t mean I should withhold my love either. I need others love but I have to let Your love be able to fill in where they fall short.
Listen – Isaiah 28:23 Listen to what I am saying; pay attention to what I am telling you.
I need to ask You for help and let You show Your love to me instead of shutting You out when I don’t get what I need from others or transferring that on to You. You love me completely, continually and perfectly. You’re not upset with me asking and even the questions of things. David was a man after Your own art and he questioned a lot. You know if I’m asking, I’m still seeking You for the answer. That’s OK with You. You put a lot of examples in the Bible of those who questioned but still loved You and were in Your will for their lives. You gave examples in the Old and New Testament because in the end they kept the faith. Faith pleases You.
Praise – Psalm 135:1 Praise the Lord! Praise his name, you servants of the Lord,
You amaze me Lord. I praise You because You are ever present and all knowing. You brought me to this point, You met my expectations to minister to me in my heart. You show me Your love in these little and yet such great ways that it overwhelms my heart how much You care about me, and how much You take the time to show me that You see me, You hear me, You know the cries of my heart and You put everything in place and way in advance to meet me here today. I love You Lord! I exalt Your holy name. I praise Your holy name. I want to give it all to You because You are so wonderful! You deserve all the praise, the highest praise, the sacrifice of my life lived for You. It is all I have to give! But I give it now Lord.
