Who’s Watching

In all things you yourself must be an example of good behavior. Be sincere and serious in your teaching. Use sound words that cannot be criticized, so that your enemies may be put to shame by not having anything bad to say about us.” Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬-‭8‬

I often take for granted who is watching, reading, and listening because it is usually just me and my spouse. I don’t think about casual or group interactions but I’ve learned, people are watching. They are forming opinions even if they are not speaking to me. I am an example whether I want to be or not. I

never know it is is that is really paying attention. That is why the Bible warns “in all things” because I don’t get to decide what is going to make an impression on someone. What behavior will stand out to another person is beyond of my control.

I also don’t have control over how much my teaching impacts someone else. I need to be serious and sincere when I am talking with others. I think people can find something to criticize if they want, I can only do what is in my control to not provide additional ammunition to them.

Prayer – Lord, help me to be a godly example to those ai know are watching me and those I don’t know are watching. Let me be sincere and use wisdom in speaking so that I won’t be a bad example of You. In Jesus name. Amen.
