Live like you believe it

“So also will be the word that I speak— it will not fail to do what I plan for it; it will do everything I send it to do.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬ ‭

How would life change if I really lived like this is true? God’s Word will not fail to do what He plans. That makes it the perfect tool for the obstacles we face, like doubt, fear and insecurities. It makes the Word of God our defense when we face temptation. Jesus used it as an effective method to overcome the enemy. How much more do we need it?

His love for us in found in the Word. His peace is given through the Word. His joy is found there. Faith is found there. There is nothing good that doesn’t come from Him.

When we talk about the Word of God, it encompasses the whole trinity.

It is God the Father’s Word.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living,”. ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭

Jesus is the Word.

“The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son.” ‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬ ‭‬‬

It is the one offensive weapon that He gave us in the armor of God, the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.

“And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬ ‭

If I lived like I believed it:

• I would walk in the boldness, confidence and authority that God gave me, knowing it will come to pass in God’s timing.
• “I can’t” would not be in my vocabulary because He can and He is inside me.
• I would not waiver in faith when things don’t go as I think they should.
• I would trust that He has good plans for me and not try to hold onto control.
• I would declare the things He said, because Jesus said His followers would do greater things.
• I would walk in His love because He first loved me.
• I would not doubt my identity because He formed me in my mothers womb and plans to complete the good works He began in me.
• I would take every negative thought captive and bring it to the obedience of His word.

These are just a few of the things that I would stand on if I lived like I believe God’s Word is true. I know that it is true. I need to step out of my own way and just believe like a child this is true.

Lord, Your Word is always true. Your Word will accomplish what You want it to. Let me speak Your word with boldness, declare Your truth and stand on Your promises.In Jesus name Amen.
