“So get rid of every filthy habit and all wicked conduct. Submit to God and accept the word that he plants in your hearts, which is able to save you.” James 1:21
Only the Word of God, written and engraved on our hearts can begin to save us from ourselves. Jesus paid the complete price for salvation but we renew our minds through the Word to bring the transformation needed to fulfill our purpose. It is not just in the reading of the Word, but in submitting to it. Allowing the Word to be planted, take root, and grow in our lives to choke out the things of this world and the seeds of the enemy that would seek to uproot God’s plans and purposes for our lives and the fruit of Holy Spirit.
I have the Word planted in my life. The fruit of Holy Spirit is evident in my life. Yet, I know there are some areas where I have kept Holy Spirit from tending too. Knowing what God might ask of me, fearing it will be too far outside my comfort zone. I have resisted His leading in fear, not trusting that He knows what is best for me. He knows what I need. It is a filthy habit and wicked conduct – disobedience.

I know God’s grace and mercy provide the way to forgiveness. Now I am praying for His strength to consistently listen to His voice and follow His leadings, not just in big things but in every step. I am looking to the Word for answers. I want to get out of my comfort zone, out of fear’s zone, and learn what I need to grow in to fulfill all the plans of God for my life.
Prayer – Lord, thank You for Your Word that is engraved on my heart and engrafted in my life. I still have so much to learn! I am sorry I have not been faithful to all You have told me to do before. I surrender my life to You. I ask for Your help in fulfilling You will for my life. I don’t just want a little help, I want 100% of what is available so that I can give You 100%! In Jesus name. Amen.
