Prophesy

The things I predicted have now come true. Now I will tell you of new things even before they begin to happen. Isaiah 42:9

The Old Testament points to Jesus. Isaiah points out all the things God said would happen did, and that he would be given new things to prophesy about. I have sat under many prophetic leaders and see God speak through them and it come to pass. At times God has let His Spirit come upon me to share a prophetic word.

I Corinthians 14:4-5 says “…he who prophesies edifies the church. I wish …even more that you prophesied;“

I would like to move more in the Spirit of prophesy. I don’t know that it is a gift I have, but I would love to build up the Church with this gift. As I go through old journals, I see the gift of faith evident in my prayers and God’s answers. I wonder if prayers are prophetic at times?

Prayer – Lord, Thank You for allowing me to set under the anointing of many who operate under the gift of prophesy. Thank You for the times that You have used me to give a word of prophesy. Lord, teach me more about prophesy in prayer, the gift and just receiving a word. I want to understand more. Lead me to Scriptures and those with knowledge that I can learn from godly counsel.
