Holy Spirit Education

Scripture: But as for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit’s teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ. I John 2:27

How this Scripture applies to my life: I love learning. I want to feel like I know what I am doing and I really prefer to be competent before I do something. As I step out into a new thing, I try to take in information. Lately I feel Holy Spirit is teaching me to step out in obedience to His leading. It looks different than the teaching “the experts” recommend. Holy Spirit has sent other experts to say “I don’t do it that way, despite what is recommended.” I think God knew I would look for some confirmation and so He sent it. I want to be obedient to His teaching because H knows everything. I know His plans are higher than mine.

Then He sends me this scripture to remind me of the truth. His Spirit has been poured out on me and lives within me. I don’t need the world to teach me when God is saying “trust me.”

There is nothing wrong with education. I am master’s trained by the world. I have also seen God give me training that is available in the world, but it came through Him instead. I love when He teaches me and then it is backed up by the world. I have seen this a few times in my life.

Expression of my heart and mind back to God: Lord, I am listening and will do as You have instructed. Teach me to hear Your voice and to trust Your leading following 100% of Your instruction.
