Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
    and passing over transgression
    for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,

God pardons our iniquity. Iniquity – Lexicon :: Strong’s H5771 – ʿāôn, wickedness or sin. that causes Him to pass over our transgressions. Lexicon :: Strong’s H6588 – pešaʿ– offense, going against the law, rule or code of conduct for His people. This was for the Israelites, but as a Christian I am now part of His inheritance. God does this, not because of anything I have done but because love is who He is. He doesn’t stay angry because He delights in love.

On the way home today, I heard this song on the radio and listened to it twice because it spoke to my heart. The song, Perfect loved by Rachel Lampa. I have heard it before, but today I really listened to it. God loves us right where we are because of His grace. He loves us despite when we run and hide from Him. He loves us despite our faults, because love is who He is. The blood of Jesus pardoned us, the blood of Jesus pardoned us. The blood of Jesus causes His anger to pass over us.

Lord, I thank You for Your love with and for me. I know I will never earn it but it is perfect for there is no God like You.
