Taught by the Lord

All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
    and great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13

Taught by the Lord.

I have thought

it was my job

to teach my kids

about the Lord.

Yes, it is my responsibility

but I also have to

trust that the Lord

can teach my children

just as

He teaches me.

It may be hard

for me to sit back

and let the Lord

teach them

to let go of my

need for control.

I have to trust

that He wants

the best for them

even more

than I do.

When the Lord teaches them

there may be a test

but they

will have peace

if they walk

through teaching

with Him.

Lord, teach my children just as You teach me. Let us each be filled with Your peace. In Jesus name amen.
