Disagreement

I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10

We are called to have the mind of Christ. When we are unified with Him, we can stand in unity with our brothers and sisters. I think if we focused more on what we agree about instead of what we don’t, we would have less division. I can stand in prayer that God would bring truth to me or to the other person I disagree with. More than once I’ve learned I am the issue. God needed to change my thinking. Disagreement doesn’t have to cause division when we have the mind of Christ.

Lord help me to stay in unity with my brothers and sisters. Let us have the mind of Christ. Division has no place in Your body.
