Covered

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

I think that someone loving me, when they do it well, cover sins towards me. I’m willing to know that they aren’t trying to hurt me in instances where their actions do cause me pain. I might not stay in a relationship with someone who continues to sin against me;but I can give chances when I know someone is trying. When I know that they love me, their love covers their actions in my eyes.

I hope others offer me the same grace. I don’t generally want to intentionally hurt anyone. I know I try loving harder when I mess up, trying to make up for my wrong. I want forgiveness, even if I have to earn it. I don’t want my actions to end a relationship.

I know that God’s love covered my multitude of sins. He wash them away when He sent Jesus to die on the cross.

Lord thank You for sending Jesus to cover my sins completely. Help me to love others earnestly so that they can give me grace in my failure. Help me to receive love and cover any sins towards me also. In Jesus name amen.
