Signs

And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18

I read this list knowing I believe. And still questioning, why the signs don’t follow me? Why don’t we see more of these things in the church? Maybe some of these things happen without us knowing? It is very likely I am protected from danger by God that I didn’t even know existed.

I am not one who plans to jack around with serpents or poison. I don’t go seeking demons, and the few I have encountered have not manifested in a place where it was saft to cast them out due to others being around. I’ve never tried to minister to someone with a new language. I have played hands on others who were sick, some have recovered.

Lord, I believe, help the signs follow.
