Steadfast Love

For your steadfast love is great above the heavens;
    your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Psalm 108:4

God’s love is steadfast. Whether it’s a warm day or a cold one, day or night, one thing I never have to question is the heavens or the skies. The earth may quake but the skies are always there, just like God’s love. God is love. He is faithful. His faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

I feel so far away from love right now. I can’t seem to be on the same page with my husband and so we end up pushing each other’s buttons instead of communicating. I miss my parents, that orphan spirit tries to creep in. I miss my children and grandchildren. The love is still there but it feels like they’re so far away.

But God’s love is steadfast. He is the Husband that loves me continually without condition. He is the Father who will never leave me. I am His child and He is always near. His steadfast love and faithful presence, I need Him to wrap me in it.

Thank You Lord for Your steadfast love. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Help me to focus on what I know in my heart. Let it soak in my mind.
