Pray

And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew 6:7-8

Prayer is not about length it’s about heart. Prayer is about letting my heart connect with God’s heart. Prayer is about asking for what is needed.

In corporate prayers, I used to feel intimidated by the lengthy eloquent prayers of others for how some were able to quote long scriptures in their prayers. God doesn’t name me to pray like someone else.

God wants me to pray for what He has placed on my heart. I don’t have to sound like someone else because He made me. He breathed His life into me, His Spirit resides within me with His passions and his purpose.

Lord continued to cultivate in me a heart for prayer. Help me to encourage others to grow their prayer life also.
