Mature in the Gifts

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:29

Bill Johnson wrote “Gifts are free; maturity is expensive.”

I have many gifts and callings from God. I’ve had some imparted to me. Not all have I stepped up to walk in; but God does not take them back. He waits on us to mature so that we can walk in them. He is still growing me. He is working on me to be all He has called me to be. I am working to allow Holy Spirit to work the gifts through me. God places me in situations where I can choose to step out in the opportunity. He asks for me to mature in His calling on my life, but I have to choose to grow, to grow in Christ, to grow in character, to step out in the opportunities.

Lord, I want to seize every opportunity You place before me. I want to be willing to step out in obedience where You show me. I want to use the gifts You have given me and those that You have allowed to be imparted to me to fulfill all that You have called me to be. Help me to mature in those gifts. In Jesus name amen
