Isolation is Dangerous

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Isolation is a dangerous thing, even for someone who is an introvert and enjoys so much alone time. Two can do more than just one, or get something done faster. But when you isolate too long it’s easy to fall, whether physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. We need people who will lift us up when we can’t carry the load. People can also help at times where we don’t recognize the load we are carrying is too much. Others can see if we are struggling and need some guidance or support before we reach that point of breaking.

Lord, help me surround myself with godly women who can lift me up and whom I can lift up and encourage.
