His Name

They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. Revelation 22:4

This scripture came up yesterday in our Bible study. The leader mentioned that God named us. Much like Jesus called Peter “Rock”, God named us when He sealed us at salvation. We discussed that maybe we see a little of this in the believers now. We begin to see Him, through them and they reflect a deeper sense of their new identity.

We might see His love or compassion. Or maybe see His mercy or grace as we get a glimpse of who He is. And we begin to see in others what might be a part of His name for them. I love that picture as we are made in His likeness. He is perfecting that image until the day of our eternal reconciliation with Him.

Lord I want to be like You. I want to carry Your name and reflect Your image even now here on this earth. Let it be in Jesus name amen
