Simple Things

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Romans 16:20

God’s peace, His love, they are simple things. It is easy in the current culture for peace to be fleeting and love to feel difficult. Love and peace are both a fruit of the Spirit and He is not fleeting. It is about leaning into the Spirit and denying the flesh. God will crush Satan under His feet. He wants us to live and walk in peace. He wants us to be able to abide in His love. That is the grace of God that is with us.

Today the pastor preached about how our work is to believe in God. God wants to provide for us. He is most concerned about the eternal, even when we are focused on the temporal. It really is about refocusing on the simple things, God’s love, God’s peace, God’s grace, His joy and forgiveness. He cares and He will direct our steps if we just trust Him.

Lord I know I often try to complicate things instead of just focusing on the simple. Help me to refocus on Your love and Your peace. I want Your Spirit to guide me and help me to believe that I too can walk in Your power. I ask this in Christ name amen.
