Promises of God

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. Romans 4:20-21

This year I have stepped out. God brought me to New Mexico where I know no one, in the middle of a pandemic, with a spoken word over me that I will be birthing something new. Only after I wrote this passage out and started thinking that I am on an Abraham journey. He was called to leave where he was to go to a land he didn’t know. God gave him a promise and he stepped out in faith. Abraham took a wrong turn and tried to make it happen himself common to make God’s promise happen on his own and created an Ishmael because he didn’t believe God for the promise. I do not want to make that mistake.

Lord, I am here standing on the promises You have given me both for myself and my family. I’m willing to do what You ask. I’m not trying to play safe but do want to make sure that it is Your lead that I am following and not my own. I want the promises Your way, I don’t want an Ishmael. Lord, I am standing on Your promises, Your word, those written and those spoken over me. I believe that You are the God of abundance, not just barely enough; so I am looking forward to how You fulfill Your promise.
