His Temple

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

God created His temple in the Old Testament with very specific instructions. As the temple God’s Spirit dwells in our instruction came through the example of Christ. He took great care to give us instructions on hosting His Spirit. This also means that just as the builders in the Old Testament had to follow the instructions, that I too must follow the instructions found in His Word, His example in the temple I live in. Hosting His Spirit empowers me to live as He lived.

Lord I know I haven’t always followed Christ example, I repent and ask for Your forgiveness confessing my sin. I thank You for the grace and forgiveness for the times that is true. Help me to follow Your instructions, Christ’s example, and let Holy Spirit flow in and through this temple as I walk in obedience to You.
