No Law Against

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians5:22-25

There is no law against the love that is produced as we keep in step with Holy Spirit. There is no law against the joy that fills our heart. There is no law against the peace that surpasses our understanding. There is no law against patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

In a world that can not agree on much, I think we can all agree on this, there is no law against these things. I can not think of any group that would argue against any of the fruit of God’s Spirit. We may disagree what it looks like to exhibit these traits, but they are desired characters in people.

Prayer – Lord help us, Your people, to walk in the fruit of the Spirit. Help us to live by Your Spirit, and to stay in step with Your Spirit all the days of our life. Help us to share Your fruit with all that we come in contact with in life.
