Rejoice

“For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62‬:‭5‬ ‭

What an exciting picture, God rejoicing over me. I know that my husband loves me, but he is not the type that lets me see too much of a hint of excitement, make open displays of joy or rejoicing. His actions would lead me to picture of a bridegroom rejoicing over his bride.

So to think of my Lord doing that gives me great delight. I don’t know, other than maybe my grandchildren too many people who outwardly rejoice over me. Of course, they are probably the only ones I really gush over either, unless I haven’t seen someone for a long time. Even then it is short lived.

Prayer – Lord, I want to learn to rejoice openly over You. Teach me Your ways!
