Sacrifice

“The Lord is God, and he has made his light to shine upon us. Bind the festal sacrifice with cords, up to the horns of the altar!” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭118‬:‭27‬ ‭

This is part of the Psalm that was sung at Passover. It is a prophetic picture of Jesus Christ. The alter had four corners with horns. The cross was the same shape, turned inwards to Christ, the Sacrifice. Jesus is the Light that shines for us. Jesus is the Light that shines in us. Jesus is the Light that shines through us. His sacrifice was complete. He completed it all.

Prayer – Lord, thank You for the perfect and complete Sacrifice for my sins. Thank You for sending Your Son to take my place. Let His light shine in me and through me.
