His People

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country, and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.”” ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭8‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭

I don’t know if this has every truly occurred to me or not before. Having been to Jerusalem before it still appears to not be under the rule of the Israelites. Regardless, it does not change the fact that God is the God of Israel.

He is faithful to them. He is righteous. One day they will be faithful. One day they will see themselves as righteous. One day they will fully understand what it means to be the chosen children of God.

Prayer – Lord, thank You for Your people of Israel. Thank You for Your protection of them as a people and nation. Thank You for blessing them and for the blessing that come though them. Continue to work in their hearts. Draw them to You and turn their hearts back to You. Your children, both Israel and those adopted into Your family need You. We are Your people. You are our God.
