“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬ ‭

The temple of God was a sacred place, yet in all its glory, we have been given a greater blessing. God dwells in me, now and for the rest of the days of my life.

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭

The beauty of the Lord is expressed through my life. He is seen in my worship. He is displayed in my love to others. His beauty is seen in my service.

I don’t always display Him, but it should be one of my greatest desires. I don’t have to go to a temple to inquire of Him. I have the honor of seeking Him daily through prayer and meditation on His Word. That is the honor we have in living on this side of the finished work of the cross.

Prayer – Lord, thank You that Your presence dwells through Holy Spirit in me. Thank You I have that blessing available to me. Thank you that I can seek You anywhere and that when I chose to seek, I will find You. Let me be a host of Your beauty that others may behold. Let Your light shine in and through me all the days of my life.
