I Am

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭58‬

Jesus, the deity of God in the flesh was “I Am”. The religious leaders tried to stone Him for these words. “I Am” was the name God gave to Moses to tell the children of Israel, when Moses was told to go to them and deliver them.

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬ ‭

Jesus took our sin and what what we would say about ourselves to the cross, so that we can take on His identity. We can look to the cross when we feel tied to what we have been, our sin, our failures, knowing it was placed on I Am.

We are new creations in Christ. Our old identity has passed away. We are a new creation in Him. We can now say “I am loved.” “I am forgiven.” “I am victorious.” We can say this because He is I Am and in Him we are loved, forgiven and victorious (just to name a few).

Lord, thank you for giving Jonathan Cahn this revelation, and the one about “I am.” More than any other messages, this sticks with me. I am grateful that I Am took my son. I’m grateful that you became my son so that I am forgiven. I am cleansed. I am redeemed. I am yours.
