“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5
A candle in the day shines no brighter than the sun. So often we want our light to shine brightest in the church environment. Yes, we are called to serve fellow believers, but we are meant to be a light in the darkness. We are called to shine the way out of the darkness.
If all my fuel is spent inside the church body, what do I have left to shine in the darkness? I want my light, my candle, to burn right in the darkness. There is a very dark world around us, and it needs all the light believers can give.
Prayer – Lord, help me to be a light in the darkness, and to be a spark that ignited other relievers to do the same.
