The Laborers Are Few

Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Luke 10:2

Only the Lord can send the harvesters, the laborers into the harvest. Maybe that is why it is important to be obedient to the call. If I am called to be a harvester and I don’t go, how will the harvest be completed. He says that the laborers are few.

A harvest does not wait around for laborers. If the harvest is not harvested in the correct timing, the crops die. They are wasted. That is also true in the life of unharvested people. When we do not obey God in the moment, they may die and go to hell without ever knowing Jesus. A life wasted.

We are all called to disciple. Each of us has a role. Some plant. Some water. Inly a few are called to labor in the harvest

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 1 Corinthians 3:6-8

Prayer – Lord, send the harvesters, every single one. Lest each answer the call, that none will perish. Let me be obedient to the call on my life.
