The Good

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

God doesn’t cause everything but He can use everything. With all that is going on in the world with COVID-19, it is it easy to want to place blame on a God who can do anything. But just because He can, doesn’t mean He did. Just because He can, doesn’t mean He will.

We need to consider what we need to do and learn from this situation. What God will bring is good out of it.

People are reaching out to one another more to see what can be done to help others. It is good the church is stepping up to meet tangible needs of the community. Companies are helping in ways they had never considered. It is tragic that lives are being lost. It is terrible that people’s livelihoods are on the line. But God is our Provider, we can depend on Him in this all.

Lord I know at times I’ve questioned the good in a situation as I questioned why. Looking back I can always see some good even if the worst of situations. To keep all this at the forefront of my mind that no matter how the dice fall or the lots are cast you are in control.
