He Endures with Us

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,
    who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
    and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly,
    and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15

What an inviting Scripture to the broken. God lives in the highest and most holy of places, but He lowers Himself to minister in the heart and spirit of broken. He receives our spirit and revives our heart. What an amazing God! What deep love He shows! He didn’t just write a check with the blood of Son and called it okay.This is the way of the world. He enters into our pain and stays with us until our heart is revived.

One of the most difficult places to stay is with a person whose spirit is broken. God though, endures with us there. He stays and receives our broken spirit and revives our heart. It can be a long journey but He is there with us. He is Holy and He lives on high but He stays with us at our lowest. He can handle our negative, broken, lowly spirit. He enters in with us but He is not affected by us. Instead He stays until we can release our broken spirit to Him. He stays until our heart is revived. He is so good that He endorsed with us.

Lord, thank you for your faithfulness in our brokenness. Thank you that you are with me in the lowest of times in my life. That you receive my broken spirit and revive my heart.
