I bought these food containers. They are quite practical as the lid snaps on all four sides to ensure the contents remain safely inside. I bought one and liked it so much that I bought more. I have some plastic ones and some glass ones, all of varying sizes. They all serve the same purpose, but they look different and some function better for certain foods.
I learned this the hard way as I now have a plastic container that is permanently orange. Despite having several containers, I decided to put spaghetti with sauce in the plastic one. Yes, it held the food just fine, but it stained the plastic orange. No amount of scrubbing has been able to get the orange tent out of the plastic.
I thought about that clear, now orange plastic container today as I read Ephesians 2:10 For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.
I think that often we settle for fine instead of really pursing what God created us for. We try to do things our way, as we design, instead of what He prepared us for in advance. We end up with a lot of orange stain on what God designed to be a masterpiece.
We all have the same purpose – to further the Kingdom of God and bring Him glory. However, that looks different for each of us. Some people function better in one roll than another. We can’t try to put someone else’s spaghetti in our container, we will only end up stained.
