Domineering

Passage – also not as machers (doers) domineering over those in your care, but as people who become examples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:3

Restated in Your Own Words – As a leader, lead by example. Don’t be a domineering person.

Application to Your life – I’m domineering. I don’t generally mean to be anymore, but it is part of my personality. So then I find that I often back off completely to compensate; which isn’t leading, it’s isolating. I feel like it’s a cycle and one would I would love to see broken. I don’t shepherd of flock, but I influence those around me. I want to be a godly influence.

Your response back to God – Lord, forgive me for leading my way instead of Yours. You are my example and servant leadership is not a domineering role. Help me to lead like You. Thank You for opening doors for my husband, lead him your way.
