Passage – Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6 R
Restated in my own words – Don’t worry, pray instead.
Application – I am thankful that I don’t generally worry much. I know God is in control and that worry doesn’t help much. God is not looking for eloquent prayers. He wants the real us, in communion with Him. Quick prayers, heartfelt conversations, and thankful hearts. Prayer closets are great, but He wants me to talk with Him throughout the day also.
Don’t worry.
Pray.
Your response back to God – Lord, I truly am thankful for the blessed life that You have given me. It has not been perfect or easy, but it has been blessed with and by a loving God. You have given me a good family, and a career I enjoy while getting to help others. I have great kids, great grandkids and a loving husband. I have seen spiritual growth. You have given me friends who care about me. And I am so thankful for Grace, Mercy and love. Thank You for life lessons, discipline, pruning and protection. Lord I have given You my heart and I want You to have my life too to do with as You may to bring glory and honor to you. Amen
