Gentle

Passage – Let everyone see how reasonable and gentle you are. The Lord is near! Philippians 4:5

Restated in your own words – The Lord is near, people should see His followers as gentle and reasonable.

Application to my life – I am pretty reasonable, more so when I take the time to be aware that GOd is near. I am still working on being gentle. I could say it’s just not in my personality, but gentleness is a fruit of Holy Spirit, so it is part of my DNA. I just have to learn how to let gentleness grow and surface more.

Maybe I look at the word wrong. It is defined in other translation and different words completely like moderation, forbearance, gentle spirit. I know regardless it is an area where I need to allow God more control.

Your response back to God – Lord, it is so easy for me to see areas where I fail, continue to work in those areas. Help me to also see what I do that is good.
