Passage – So, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and my crown, my dear friends, keep standing firm in union with the Lord. I beg Evodia and I beg Syntyche to agree with each other in union with the Lord. I also request you, loyal Syzygus, to help these women; for they have worked hard proclaiming the Good News with me, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow-workers whose names are in the Book of Life. Rejoice in union with the Lord always! I will say it again: rejoice! Philippians 4:1-4

Restated in Your own Words – Paul urged two women to come into Union with God and therefore each other. He wanted others to help resolve the problem because the women had been part of Ministry. People who claim God is Lord should be in Union.

Application to life – Immediately I think of a disunion that is going on at work. My coworkers are Christians and need to be in unity. But I also know how it applies to me – is there something that I can do to help bring them back together?

And for me personally I need to stay in union with the Lord so I don’t let disagreements come between me and others that I serve with.

Your response back to GOd – Lord, I love . You. Help me to stay in daily fellowship with You and to be in union with other followers of Christ, especially those I serve with. Let me be a person firm in You. Give me wisdom in helping others repair relationships.
