Submission

Passage – But we are citizens of heaven, and it is from there that we expect a Deliverer, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. He will change the bodies we have in this humble state and make them like his glorious body, using the power which enables him to bring everything under his control. Philippians 3:20-21

Restated in Your Own Words – I am a citizen of Heaven. I’m delivered by Jesus Christ. One day I will be transformed into a body like His under His control.

Application to life – Sometimes I wish that I was already under God’s control. I wish that I was fully submitted, obedient and allowing Him full control over everything. I realize it is a free will thing and the only thing that will stop that is me. I would just love if it could be, as then most of the things I deal with would fade away as I came into full submission of God.

I know it will come one day soon, but I wish it was now. I think of those He could have reached through me and how much more I could do for Him if He was in control. For now I will keep working to bring myself under His control.

Your response back to God – Lord, I would love that easy button to be pushed and for every area of my life to come fully under Your submission. Since that doesn’t work, help me to bring myself under complete submission to You so that I can bring glory and honor to You and all I do.
