Barely?

Passage – “If the righteous is barely delivered,
where will the ungodly and sinful end up?” 1 Peter 4:18

Restated in Your Own Words – If the righteous get what they deserve, where will those who are ungodly and sinful end up?

Application to Your Life – We all face judgment, but we are delivered by Christ’s sacrifice. I don’t understand the “barely” as Christ’s work was complete. Maybe it is barely because it is difficult for us to fully accept what Christ did for us and believe that His grace covered it all.
