Judgement

Passage – For the time has come for the judgment to begin. It begins with the household of God; and if it starts with us, what will the outcome be for those who are disobeying God’s Good News? — 1 Peter 4:17

Restated in Your Own Word – When when judgment comes, it will start with followers of Christ and if he judges us what will be the outcome for those who didn’t obey God’s standards?

I think about how much I judge myself and my thoughts and actions when I am trying to live right. Although I know God’s judgment will be different I think of how much worse I was when I was not surrendered to God. So of course not ever being led to obey God’s word and gospel I can’t imagine what my life would be like and what I would be answering to God for a period then I think of those I love and how they will answer for their thoughts and actions in judgment to God. What will be the outcome when they stand before God? I know I’m not responsible for anyone except me, but I can stand in the gap in prayer. I can also be a godly example.

Your response to God – Lord, I know one day I will stand before You and face Your judgment. I also know that Your judgment will be just and fair but that I am covered by the blood of Christ. Lord I lift up those that I love and care about, friends and family who are not under Jesus’s covering. Lord open their eyes let them encounter You. Transform their lives and let them surrender to Your lordship. Thank You Lord that You can give Your children their heart’s desires. My family and friends for Your kingdom is my heart’s desire.
