Sinful Suffering

Passage – Let none of you suffer for being a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or a meddler in other people’s affairs. 1 Peter 4:15

Restated in Your Own Words – We should not be suffering as murderers, thieves, evil doers or meddlers when we suffer for Christ.

Application to Your Life – Although I stole as a child from a store, my mom, and from my now my husband as a teenager, I did not really suffer. I have repented of those behaviors and apologized. I’ve never murdered. Although at times, my words may have destroyed others. But the suffering that I experienced was not for Christ’s sake when I did those behaviors. I have asked for forgiveness and repented.

I do not see myself as an evil doer. I’m open to God revealing any area of my life where there is evil actions that I might repent and change my ways. Meddling though is something I have to be careful of. I want to help others but I need to be careful that I am not meddling.

Your response back to God – Lord open my eyes to any evil actions. I pray that you would help keep me from crossing the line to meddling when I am helping others. I love You!
