Speak and Serve in Him

Passage – if someone speaks, let him speak God’s words; if someone serves, let him do so out of strength that God supplies; so that in everything God may be glorified through Yeshua the Messiah — to him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11

Restated in your own words – Everything I do should bring glory to God because it is done through Christ Jesus. The words I speak, those words should come from God. The things do, should be done through His strength.

Application to you life – I can definitely tell when I’m serving out of my own strength and when I’m in the flow of Holy Spirit serving. Things go smoother, ideas flow freer, and my attitude is much better. When I speak what He tells me to speak, there is more love and compassion. Whereas I can say the same words and my message comes off as I know-it-all or condescending. I need to make a conscious choice to flow through Him.

Your response back to God – Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve gone rogue. I know this is not Your way. I know it’s not the best way. Let me operate in You and through You and all I do and say. Let Your light shine through me.
